Pitch the perfect PowerPoint presentation
What a hoot! Guy Kawasaki’s rules for the perfect Powerpoint presentation include:
“… give your ten slides in twenty minutes. Sure, you have an hour time slot, but you’re using a Windows laptop, so it will take forty minutes to make it work with the projector... ” [10/20/30 Rule by Guy Kawasaki, via All Tips and Tricks] (He recommends:: use 10 slides, 20 minute presentation, use a 30-point font, so it’s readable)
Last week, I attempted to participate in a Microsoft project, which required each participant to submit a PowerPoint presentation. To do this, I downloaded MS Office 2007 beta. However, there wasn’t time to create one, but if I did, I’d use the above tips by Guy Kawasaki, who has suffered through countless PowerPoint presentations.
