Pixelated Zelda and Mario Art

An artist named Jimiyo has taken some liberties with some of our favorite Nintendo characters. He did an interesting job with Mario:

I mean, the colors pop, and you can still tell that it’s Mario. Looks a bit like Mario got hit in the nose with a baseball bat and then tried to re-align it himself, but I won’t complain.

Then we have Link.

Link looks like he’s on his final breath after suffering from some weird genetic disorder that has left him pale and droopy-eyed. What is he doing with his arm? Is he waving hello? Is he calling for help? Is he pointing himself out as the next willing victim of some terrible tragedy?

Poor guys.
