NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

Plaxico Burress hauls in Super Bowl game winning TD

Plaxico Burress
Now while the Squibster was eating crow, and happily it might be added, Plaxico Burress was basking in the glow of a fantastic victory in Super Bowl 42.

New York Giants 17 New England Patriots 14

Years ago, Earl Morrall, a graduate of Michigan State University, took the Miami Dolphins to a Super Bowl victory and an undefeated season. (Squibster is an alumnus and proud Spartan of Michigan State University.)

Now, Plaxico Burress, a graduate of Michigan State University caught the game winning catch to defeat the New England Patriots and prevent them from having a perfect season.

The New York Giants are Super Bowl Champs and Plaxico is a new hero.

Just see what everyone is saying.

Plaxico was so choked up in the post game interview, he started to cry.

He took a lot of heat for his prediction, including heat from Tom Brady and other Patriots, but he never backed down.

Now Plaxico is the hero! How fitting.

Overrated? Naw, they’re probably one of the best teams ever to lose a Super Bowl. ;-)

  2. fadango says:

I think the Patriots got a little Cocky. A couple weeks ago I don’t think Brady would of made the comments he did about Burress’s prediction, but they got all caught up in the chase for history.

Isn’t it odd how funky things happen in the big games?
