Does the timing get any stranger?

Well, this is the Super Bowl!

“He has an ankle that always has been a problem, but he also has some issues with a knee that off and on in the past has bothered him,” coach Tom Coughlin said. “That’s the thing right now. Between the two of them, that’s why he’s not working. He comes out and tries to go and can’t go.”

Burress loosened up at the start of the nearly two-hour workout and caught some passes. But he walked off the field after a few minutes, leaving the Arizona Cardinals’ practice facility. He received treatment in the training camp.

Earlier in the morning, Burress said he planned to practice. Coughlin is hopeful Burress will work out Friday.

“It’s a matter of how fast the swelling goes down so he can deal with it,” Coughlin said. source

After gaining notoriety for his game prediction and gaining notice from several Patriots, including Tom Brady and Randy Moss, Burress is a no show for regular practice.

Plax better play and produce or “The Prediction” will be remembered.

No one wants that.
