PLAY N TRADE: Vegas Franchise Conference

According to today’s post on Unhappy Franchisee, “Troubled video game retail franchise Play N Trade is conventionattempting to win over skeptical and struggling franchisees at its conference this week in Las Vegas.  The company has been beseiged with legal problems in California, store closings and scathing blog comments from current and former franchisees…”

The theme of the franchise conference is “Stronger Together 2009.”  CEO Larry Plotnick is trying to quiet some of the discord among the franchisees, especially in the wake of charges of franchise law violations by the State of California.

There has also been widespread criticism that the video game retailer continues to sell franchises for a business model that is not viable or sustainable.

Despite the criticism and suspension of Play N Trade’s CA franchise registration, the company is conducting a franchise sales seminar today in Las Vegas.
