Rober Meyers just closed store in Knapp’s corner. He owes many landlords’ money and contractors’ money. He is in seriously trouble. His company is in the middle of bankrupcy filing.

He is a mean spirit person: Take as much as he can, owe as much as he can. He enjoys the nice car from landlords’ ” paying up front of development cost”, but refuses to pay contractors for the jobs done. Now he suffers sequences and the bad reputation.

What a waste!

What Robert Meyers says is true of any business. So I have to agree with him. But it begs the question Robert – with all that energy you have, and the business acumen you clearly have, why oh why are you giving away >4% of your gross revenue?

Anyhow, what Robert says is true of ANY business – people can shop anywhere. Your store has to be an inviting fun place for a stranger to walk into, cause that’s how you build a customer base – with strangers, who become regulars, and even regulars want to know you care about their business, so don’t forsake them.

You can’t purchase a Gamestop, they are not a franchise, they are all owned by one big corporation. When you walk into a gamestop nobody there owns it, and they never met the owner.

I’m thinking of opening a franchise, Gamestop was my first thought, but Play n Trade are becoming popular, and I saw one in my Hometown. Have to say, it looks dead everytime I go in, and the used games seem very low. I don’t really like shoping there. I have never even made a purchase. I definitly prefer shopping at Gamestop. But truthfully, I rarely buy there too, as I buy most of my stuff from Amazon sellers. Having said that, I love videogames, and wouldn’t mind opening a franchise store. I would put my MBA degree into use, and put my best foot forward, and just make it work. If I failed, I could at least say, I put my best effort forward. More later.
