Player Profile: Patrik Antonius
Moneypokerbonus has a new poker player profile of PATRIK ANTONIUS, who I’ve found recently to be one of the more fun players to watch in the style of Gus Hansen and Sam Farha, as he tends to employ a super aggressive and over the top style.
I remember one WPT episode featuring him and J.J. Liu and Doyle Brunson where he was just beating the living heck out of everyone’s blinds. Pure attack aggression.
He’s younger than I am. That is weird.
Seeing people on TV like college basketball players and realizing they look 5 years old than me but they are 5 years younger is a trip.
Patrik is one of my favorite players to watch. He is very aggressive and isn’t scared to lose his entire stack ($100k or more) in cash games.
Of course it is easy not to care about money when you have lots of it. I think he was a model or a tennis player previously. I forget which.
The current rivalry between him and Doyle is pretty interesting. Doyle actually got perturbed by some of the stuff Patrik has said.
He was both. Yeah, I’m sure the money helps a lot.
