Are you like a staple remover?

Let’s think differently inside the cubicle rather than differently outside the box.
What object in your cubicle (or your office if you are a big shot) are you like as a manager?
For example, are you like a pen, a stapler, a swivel chair, a key board, etc?
In addition to stating what object you are like I’d like you to think 2 or 3 ways you are like the object.
This is meant to be playful so weird or bizarre associations are not only welcome they are encouraged.
For example, you could say:
As a manager I am like a tape dispenser.
- I am a little tightly rolled.
- I stick to things.
- I have a bit of a sharp edge.
- I hold things together.
How about it, look around your office, create your management metaphor, and add it to the comments.
Go ahead you can object to this or have fun and be like an object! Write your comment and let us know what management is like for you.

As a manager I am like a plant.
-I am constantly growing
-I need lots of food and sunshine to stay happy
-I help others to feel better and to breath
-I am useless and would die if left in the dark
Mike.
You give a full new meaning to the term:
PLANT MANAGER.
Keep on growing but don’t let the work turn you green.

@ Mike
I agree with david, really a new term PLANT MANAGER
As a manager, I am like an office chair:
I give my employees firm support.
I know how to get things rolling.
I help give people a lift when they need it.
Heather,
You are destined to be a CEO. All the best on being a chairperson!
