PlayStation 3 Issues: Some Older Games Won’t Play

Sony Corp. has acknowledged that the PS3 has some unfortunate issues. Namely that about 200 PS2 games won’t actually play on the new console.

Japanese consumers have been encountering these problems first-hand. In some cases, features for the older games don’t work, and in other cases, the games don’t play at all.

“There are always sorts of little problems at launch … It may take some time to make everything compatible, but I don’t think it’s a huge problem,” KBC Securities analyst Hiroshi Kamide said.

So, for those of you gearing up for the PS3 launch on Friday, bewaaaare the hiccups.
