Please Participate: Help Create a List of the Best I-SEE Online Videos

I am searching for inspiring videos to start each day in 2008. I need your help to be inspired and fired up in 2008.

I ask for your help in finding at least 52, and up to 365, short 1 to 6 minute online videos that can be used as inspiration to start our day or week. I trust that with your help we can find at least 52 of them. The stretch goal is to create a list of 365 videos.

Near the end of December I will share the list on Slacker Manager for anyone else who wants short inspiring video to start their day or a short video in the afternoon to rekindle the energy during an afternoon energy lull.

I know what inspires one person may not inspire another yet I trust each person will find videos that work for them.

What videos of less than 6 minutes duration do you recommend to evoke emotion in the viewer and create inspiration or motivation after it has been viewed?

The videos could be a song, a story or a compelling speaker. I am open to different types of videos but I do want them to be visual — not a written document or an audio file.

The I-SEE criteria for the videos are:

  1. Inspirational – after watching it you feel more inspired or motivated.
  2. Short  – under 6 minutes preferably unless they are so compelling that we would want more.
  3. Emotional – you experience emotions even as you watch it.
  4. Engaging – you could watch the video again and again

Don’t recommend a video if you don’t experience emotions as you watch it or feel better after having viewed it.

Please email your selections to me at dzinger@shaw.ca or leave a comment with the url in the comments box.

Here are 10 examples of videos I like:

  1. Professor Randy Paush Lessons for Life.
  2. National Anthem singer forgot her line during NBA playoffs
  3. Eddi Reader & Thomas Dolby: “What You Do With What You’ve Got”
  4. “Britains Got Talent * Connie, 6, WOWs Simon Cowell !!!”
  5. Mr. W.
  6. Talks Nora York: “What I Want”
  7. Marshall Goldsmith and FeedForward
  8. 57th Tony Awards Man of La Mancha
  9. The Gratitude Dance
  10. Richard St. John: Secrets of success in 8 words, 3 minutes

Please add your videos to the list. Also feel free to take the list or article and pass it on or re-publish it on your blog. Let’s do whatever it takes so that in 2008 we have an inspiring video way to start each day.

Once again, please help me put some video ZING into 2008 and create a list that we can all use.

Thank you and stay tuned and tuned in for a list that will make online videos worth watching.

Send your inspiring video links to David Zinger (dzinger@shaw.ca).

Hey David, this is good stuff. I like your video idea. If I find a video, I will get it to you! Don’t be surprised if I borrow one for Interview Chatter.

    Have a great one!
