As anglers, we tend to have a specific brand of equipment, gear, boat, and bait that we stay loyal to. This could possibly be most evident when talking about their rod and reel of choice. While there are many different reasons for this, Getting Reel asked its readers to choose which brand of reel they prefer against 4 others. Here is how you voted.
Daiwa – 6%
Abu Garcia – 6%
Shimano – 69%
Quantum – 19%
Plueger – 0%
Other – 0%
In a landslide, Shimano reigns supreme in our poll. Maybe if they would bring back the old model of Curado, they could receive even more votes.
I missed the voting but I would’ve went the same way.
I got a better one.. “you forgot to put zebco on your poll. If you had it clearly would’ve devestated Shimano.” hehe
Zebco wasnt on there but Quantum was. Thats who I voted for. Id like them to be a bit lighter but theyre exceptional reels
