Poor Man’s Wii… Kinda…

For people like me who just can’t afford a Nintendo Wii but have a Mac and an iSight, ToySight might just help us get our fix.
ToySight uses the iSight or a firewire camera to put you in the middle of the action. With its bundled games, you use the camera as a control to play. How? You put yourself infront of the camera and reach out and touch buttons, move sliders, etc. The camera tracks your movement and converts this to game movement.
Several games come bundled with ToySight. There’s Skydiver where in you use sliders to control a parachute and try to land as close to the target as possible. There’s Tennis Xtreme which is similar to Pong but this time you bounce around a ticking grenade. PieSight wherein your goal is to hit monkeys with custard pies and whole bunch of other games.
These aren’t Wii quality type of games but it’s a good alternative if you can’t afford a Wii. Plus it puts your iSight to good use.
