Wow — I’ve redeemed myself, and the day’s only just started!
Not surprised in the least. Pretty sad statistic.
Wow, we really take the cake, literally.
Um, scary.
my boyfriend just started voluntarily eating vegetables. he loves to stirfry them with olive oil. i think people just have to find what WAY they like their veggies. SO SAD ABOUT THE $$ ON CANDY,… boo. yesterday i wrote a post about food-related reading, and having surplus money to spend on food, and if that has something to do with the obesity trend. but it probably JUST comes down to the choices we make.
woohoo i got the answer right! boo for it being true.
Not surprised in the least!
That’s disgusting.
I’m going to go and do my bit by eating an orange now…
To be honest, I expected much worse! I think it’s great that produce is still even in the same league as candy, snacks and soda. Now we’ve just got to find a way to reverse it and get the balance back over to produce.
Thanks for the post!
All the Best,
Andrew
That’s sad.
Especially because the fresh produce I buy (again, sadly) tends to be more expensive than a soda, candy bar, or bag of chips.
And yet people always complain that it’s “expensive to eat healthy.”
Lacey- i think this is very true. I think a lot of people that didnt grow up on veggies think carrot and celery sticks when they think veggies. i made my boy kale chips one time and he LOVED them- its all about finding the way you like to eat them and trying new things.
sagan- saving the economy one orange at a time…
tfh- thats a good point- candy is so much cheaper. you can get 3 candy bars for $1.00, so imagine how MUCH candy is being bought, and eaten, with all that money
I am not surprised either, but YUCK. My teeth feel gross now.
oh yikes. I bet I don’t help those numbers…..
