Porn Industry: The Masters of the PR Stunt

If you didn’t know (Honestly, I didn’t until I did the research for this post!), is that the Adult Entertainment Expo is this week.

So was it really that surprising that Larry Flint and others have now announced they are heading to Washington to ask for their piece of the multi-million dollar bailout? And although they say this isn’t a stunt, I really can’t believe that it’s not? Can you?

Although this did give the adult entertainment industry some notice and most of us a little chuckle, I think the leaders of this stunt also gave Americans a chance to rethink what the bailout means to all of us.

Could it really be a stunt to create awareness about how crazy this bailout is becoming? Perhaps a wake-up call for all of us not to get, pardon the pun, screwed? I wonder… what do you think?

And if you want to laugh a little more about this, check out this post from my colleagues over at Biz Levity.

Lawmakers said “hey everyone, we’re serving soup, line up” and everyone and their dog brought their soup bowl. I’m thinking bloggers should send a few of us to the soup line too, why not?

Hi Shannon, Flynt seems more interested in getting Americans to rethink sex than the bailout. But, as with restaurant industry, with the economy in the tank more people will opt to stay home and eat in.

    J’attends votre signalement.
    Merci d’avance.
