Portals and whatnot

Computer and Video games has a quick preview of Portal. Someone got to play it and they gave us a brief glimpse of what it would be like. All hype aside, this game really does look to be bumping things up a notch. Portal looks to be one of those things that changes your perspective on the gaming world and what you thought you could do. I like that. Innovation is something that’s much needed these days when graphics, textures, and lighting are being pushed like crack.

In continuation these same guys also have a preview of Half Life 2. Giving a great description of things and a overview of what’s to come. All this only disheartens me some as the release date is in 2007. But I can only hope that it means things will be that much better.
