Career Directions, LLC has an interesting list of potential liabilities you may want to consider when evaluating your resume. Your resume is the key that unlocks your ability to land the interview. Take a look at thees liabilities and make the appropriate adjustment.

List of Liabilities for you to consider:

1. Your experience is unrelated to your stated goal

2. Your education is unrelated to your stated goal

3. Your job titles are not progressive or similar to the type of position you are seeking

4. You have been unemployed for several years

5. Your experience history dates back 20 or more years

6. You have held a series of positions in only a few years

7. Your work history shows gaps

8. You appear to be short on achievements or appear to have none at all

9.  Your experience is too narrow, too generalized or too specialized

10. Your experience is in other industries or in only one industry

11. Your career appears to be moving laterally

12. You have not been promoted

13. You lack sufficient education or training

14. You lack a needed requirement

15, You have held one position/title throughout your employment history
