PowerGlove Mouse Hacking For Dummies

Yeah, that’s right Wiley Publishing, IncI said “For Dummies”, and I’m not taking it back :oP

Ultra-geek (he won’t mind me calling him that) and hacking madman Zerosign has unleashed his latest creation upon the Internets. You might remember him as the creator of the NES Controller TV Remote.

His latest project puts most other retro game hacks to shame, because this is such a geeky piece of ingenuity; The Nintendo PowerGlove Mouse.

By rigging together the glove with a gyroscopic mouse, our hero is able to control his mouse cursor with the simple movement of his wrist, whereas clicking is assigned to the index finger and thumb for left and right click respectively…

Now if he could make it compatible with the Revolution when it comes out then I think he’d be on to a million dollar idea there!

You know, I borrowed my powerglove plus 120 NES games to a friend and this post makes me want to get them back. He better not have put them on ebay.

Good post, interesting use of the glove. Great to see people are always finding new uses for an NES, great things never die.

    Aloha,
