Pre-Order “Batman Arkham Asylum”

Batman: Arkham Asylum will be released on August 25, 2009 but you can pre-order it today!  If you’re worried that the price might go down after you’ve placed your order, Amazon has a guarantee – if the game price decreases “between your order time and the end of the day of the release date, you’ll receive the lowest price.”

The game will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.  Players will take on the role of Batman who is just as much detective as superhero in this action-adventure stealth game (although you might be able to play as some of the villains in unlockable levels – it’s still unclear).  I also know that Batman will possess the ability to become invisible and will have special skills that will allow him to battle huge groups of foes.

Here is a list of the characters who are expected to appear in the game:

• Heroes – Batman, Oracle, Commissioner James Gordon and Blue Beetle
• Villains – The Joker, Killer Croc, The Riddler, Harley Quinn, Bane, Mr. Zsasz, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Hush, Amygdala, Scarecrow, Two-Face, Catwoman, Maxie Zeus, Hugo Strange, Firefly, Killer Moth, Ratcatcher and Ra’s al Ghul.
