14 June 2007 – The 2nd World Press Briefing of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games will be held 10-12 October 2007 in Beijing at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, next to the Olympic Green.
The briefing is open to press and photographic organisations that are accredited for the 2008 Olympic Games, International Federations and NOC media personnel and accredited non rights holding broadcasters.
The three-day briefing is designed to provide a complete review of the preparations for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and the facilities and services that will be provided to accredited media in Beijing and the co-host cities. The briefings will assist press organisations in planning their Olympic coverage and logistics operations.
The briefings will cover the competition schedule, Main Press Centre, Venue Media Centres, Olympic News Service (INFO2008), Photo Services, Accreditation, Accommodation, Transport, Rate Card and Technology.
Press organisations will be able to schedule unilateral meetings with BOCOG staff on Friday 12 October to discuss Accommodation and Rate Card Ordering.
On Wednesday, 10 October, a full day tour will visit key venues including the National Stadium, National Aquatic Centre, National Indoor Stadium, National Convention Centre (Main Press Centre/International Broadcasting Centre), Media Village, Laoshan Mountain Bike Course, Wukesong Indoor Stadium.

The deadline for application forms is 10th August 2007.
A quota per organization may be established if requests to attend the briefing exceed capacity.
