7 September 2007 – The International Olympic Committee (IOC) opened the tender process today for the sale of the broadcast and exhibition rights for the territory of New Zealand for the XXI Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010 and the Games of the XXX Olympiad in London in 2012.

The Invitation to Tender issued by the IOC provides organisations interested in acquiring the rights with specific guidelines relating to bid submissions. The IOC has asked companies interested in acquiring these rights to submit their bid by 5 October 2007 at 5 p.m. (Swiss time).

The IOC will assess bids on their ability to meet the highest standards in broadcast quality, their capacity to reach the broadest possible audience within the territory, and their commitment to promoting the Olympic Games and the values of the Olympic Movement.

All parties interested in bidding for the internet and mobile platform exhibition rights for New Zealand should contact: broadcastrights_nz@olympic.org
