Prince is a Creep

June 1, 2008 by Mike Abundo

Prince has been sending YouTube takedown notices for his performance of Radiohead’s Creep.

There’s just one problem. Prince does not own the copyright to Creep. Radiohead does. And Radiohead wants their song to stay on YouTube.

First he sues babies, and now he takes down stuff he doesn’t even own. What a creep.

  1. Douglas Karr says:

I agree he’s being ridiculous, but copyright and trademark infringement aren’t just limited to words – they can also cover someone’s image. He’s suing over his image being used, not the words.

  2. Mike Abundo says:

That’s the same argument used by Michael Crook. That guy was forced to issue a public apology.
