Prison Break ended in a controversial way on May 24, 2009 but you can now own the four seasons on DVD. The show began with an interesting concept. A man named Michael Scofield (Wentworth
Miller) deliberately got himself sent to jail so that he would help his wrongfully accused brother, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), break out.
It’s amazing that they were able to stretch that storyline for more than a season but, somehow, they managed. Prison Break debuted on August 29, 2005 to an estimated audience of 10.5 million viewers but the second season actually enjoyed slightly higher viewership (as a whole).
In the time that it was on the air, it won the 2006 People’s Choice Award for “Favorite New TV Drama” and was nominated at the 63rd Golden Globe Awards for “Best Drama Television Series” and “Best Actor in a Drama Television Series” (Wentworth Miller).
