Problems in China Continue

Microsoft is finding the root cause for the poor performance of Windows Vista in China. In the first two weeks of the release of the software, Microsoft were only able to sell 244 copies.
With the population of China, the top .5 percent of earners would still mean around 7 million copies for their latest operating system; but the sales pace of Microsoft Vista might make it impossible to even sell a million licenses.
There are other factors to take into consideration and the most interesting explanation could be pointed out to pirates. Even half of the 244 copies sold is a large number of Windows Vista pirates who would reproduce copies of Microsoft’ latest version.
