Productivity: Make a Bundle

Are you making a bundle?

Of course making a bundle of cash may be quite helpful but today’s post is on bundling our work and activities together for increased efficiency.

Do we allow our work to scatter over the day and avoid the efficiencies of making bundles? For example, think about gathering wood for a fire. If you get a bundle it is easy to handle and carry but when the wood is in individual pieces we may drop pieces or have to go back a few times to bring the wood to the fire.

Ignite your productivity with bundles. Our phone companies and cable companies are always after us to bundle the phone, Internet, and cable together. If we bundle the services together we save on the overall cost.

When we bundle our tasks together we save on overall time.

I am not naive, this concept of bundling is not new to you.

The real newness is in the practice: what could you start bundling together today to make your work more efficient (returning phone calls, checking email, writing projects, staff appraisals, etc)?

David Zinger is bundling the writing of his blog posts

into one section of time and getting more written in less time.

A wonderful post on a topic I love. Overall this implifies the general meaning of grouping, batching, or what ever others may call it. Bundling helps and is effective. I found your blog through My Blog Log and am glad I did. You seem to have some very legit stuff here! Kudos.

Thanks for the feedback. All the best in your “lifestyle maverick” pursuits.
