Question: What do you have in common with former Olympians Edwin Moses (Track and Field, USA), Elka Graham (Swimming, Australia), Christa Kinshofer-Güthlein (Alpine Skiing, Germany), and Oliver Stamm (Volleyball, Austria)?
Answer: Well, if you vote in the Olympic Spirit of McDonald’s (OSOM) contest like they all did, that would be at least one thing! (And hey, if you happen to be an Olympic athlete yourself, that would be two things.)
What is the OSOM, you ask?
An American Idol-esque contest, McDonald’s-style.
This is fun stuff: Mickey D’s always sends its best employees from around the world to staff venues at the Olympic games. For the Beijing Olympics, those chosen were invited to make video expressing their Olympic spirit . . . using just five words.
Here’s where the rest of us come in: The 22 most creative clips are posted on the OSOM contest page on Friendster, where we can vote for the best one. The winners will receive—you guessed it—gold, silver, and bronze medals as well as cash prizes ($2500 USD is the top prize) to be awarded in Beijing.
