PS3 Highlander: There Can Be Only One Trailer (for now)
So, uh, I haven’t seen Highlander. I do know the basic concept behind the movie(s), though. I’ve also seen the highly-sanitised cartoon series, but I know that doesn’t count.
Here’s a trailer for the upcoming Highlander game. I think the idea of fighting through time–if that’s indeed what the trailer indicates we’ll be able to do–is sexy.
Speaking of sexy, this very short post took a long time to put up because I was busy laughing at parody fantasy novel covers. I think this one is relevant to the topic at hand:
The Highlander movies always seemed, to me, to be the most generic attempts at an “epic” story to ever appear in theaters rather than on, say, Saturday afternoon Fox television programming.
Just that trailer, though, seems to imply that maybe the game can finally realize the potential of the story. I just hope he fights people aside from other immortals, because that’s always pretty boring. There’s only one way for it to ever end.
