Here’s the word from a new website designed to give victims of Pure Weight Loss (formerly LA Weight Loss) a piece of their minds:
Attention Victims of Pure Weight Loss: Don’t get mad… Get even!
DEAR VAHAN is new website where former members and employees of Pure weight loss (formerly LA Weight Loss) can write a message to be delivered to Pure Weight Loss CEO Vahan Karian (aka Vahan Karabajakian). Share your experience, feelings and opinions of Pure Weight Loss’ business tactics with Mr. Karian, state & federal officials, and the world. (You can also comment on L.A. Weight Loss)
He’s got a chunk of your money. Why not give him a piece of your mind, too? Visit DEAR VAHAN.
As more consumers discover the power of the Internet, more will use it to speak out about deceptive and unethical business practices. They might not get their money back, but it sure feels good to vent!

I’d just like to say that the program worked very well and I was so happy to be losing weight again after failing to do so with some other programs I had tried.
Weight loss for me is also a health issue as I was and still am trying to reduce my blood pressure. I have young children and want to return to a healthy weight and to be in good health in every respect. This is why LA Weight Loss meant so much to me. I did have success and would have happily continued on the program.
I really didn’t ask any questions when employees told me that the center was changing its name. They assured me that the program would remain the same and that my prepaid weeks would be honored and continue as usual. I even purchased another year’s worth of weeks on a special that they offered just weeks before the I found the notice on the door that the center had closed.
I would be happy just to receive the weeks in the LA Weight Loss program that I have prepaid for and also the one year of maintenance that I also prepaid. However, if no LA Weight Loss Centers will have compassion on Illinois residents and open their doors to honor their prepaid customers with the service they are owed, then at least we should receive our just return and full refund of the money that was paid in good faith.
I know that this is the right thing to do and I hope that you, as the CEO of Pure Weight Loss will do what is right for everyone looking to you to resolve their claims fairly and honorably.
I can completely understand the concern of the clients at LA Weight Loss.I worked for this company starting as a counselor and moving on to become a manager.I left because it turned into a money hungry company rather then retaining the integrity it first had when i came on board. I had a lot of very successful and happy clients who left when I did.Seems that I was one of the few that was there to really help from the heart not the wallett
I am at a loss for words. I was a member and I went away on a trip with work last year. I came back and found that all the centers have been closed. I had about 45+ boxes of bars on my account. I was due for my rebate because I reached my goal weight. I am just wondering if anyone out there could point me in the right direction as to what do I do just to get my money back on the bars? I feel cheated, I paid for a service and I was never informed of any legal action that was taking place, even when they had my e-mail address. Someone please help!
I worked for La wightloss, i enjoyed my job and connected with the clients that came in the office.. to this day i can tell you the names of most of them..Each day it became more and more apparent of how this company was not going to survive… i worked there at the center for about 10 months.. while i was working there i got the exciting news that i would be expecting my first child.. i and all my clients were excited they enjoyed reminissing and sharing my GROWTH with me…the regional manager 1st came to me asking if i was planning to take a maternity leave.. yes was my answer.. i was told that he wasnt sure if the center would be able to support me until then at full time.. they would have to reduce me to part time.. and find a full time replacement…. then when i recieved info from my doc that i was not to lift anything heavy, which meant unloading truck the corporation had a very big issue with this minor inhability.. they told me that doing this work a few times a week was required and that when they hired me i agreed to it… I was torn and in tears every shift that i left wondering how long id have my job for.. then one night i recieved a conference call that ended my job that i loved so much.. they told me that they were switching me to part time and that i would have to still lift boxes and there was going to be no exceptions… in tears i asked why?? they said this company needs people who dedicate their lives to sales and allowing the company to profit.. they said that since i became pregnant they have noticed a decrease in my sales and thought it was related… i explained that i believed in selling the program, not selling and pushing EXCELL on 83 year old women who are trying to maintain there health.. they said then the suspesions were correct.. i told them that the company was no longer what i believed in and was not going to make it very much longer…it was crazy.. they used to tell us in training classes.. IF YOU MAKE EM CRY, YOUR MAKING US MONEY, AND YOUR MAKING US VERY HAPPY…to the company crying= open pocketbook…. Im happy that i helped the people that i was able to.. but i love to know that i was right.. its not about just the money, you need caring emotion to help someone that wants to change the rest of their life…
Important! If you live in NY and you were scammed by pure weight loss then Attorney Andrew Cuomo is going to help. I just received a letter in the mail stating that they got $275,000 from the class action lawsuit. Fill out the application along with you proof of purchase and you may get your money back. I’ve just sent mine in so we’ll see. Best wishes to everyone!
