A: This is something that has saved me time and time again. There have been times that I’ve forgotten to jot down or save important details of a conversation that I had. Luckily there’s the iChat log. I can search the conversation that I had and get the info from there.

Here’s how to do it. In iChat, go to Preferences. Then select the Messages icon. There’s a check box at the bottom, Automatically save chat transcripts. Make sure that this is selected. There’s an Open Folder button beside it. You can use this to save the chat transcripts in any folder that you want. There you go. It’s that simple.
