Wow! I’m excited about the book Radically Transparent as I continue my journey through the book and sharing about my experience. I have found that the authors, Andy Beal and Dr. Judy Strauss, have been able to capture all that you need to learn about reputation management as well as tips for radically changing the way you interact with others online and offline.
I have found that the information covered in this book has given me food for thought and challenges to enhance the way I interact with others. This week, the three chapters that I will cover are chapters 7 -9:
- Chapter 7: Using Multimedia content to Engage Your Audience. As I have been writing and interacting with my readers, one of the things that I have found helpful is the inclusion of video in a blog post.
- Chapter 8: Writing Engaging Text. I found the section entitled “Use the Art of Storytelling” very helpful because it encouraged me to engage my readers by sharing information related to a story. Doing this would help the reader connect with me and my writings.
- Chapter 9: The Power of Blogs. There were a lot of good tips and information in this section. The part that stood out to me were the “Five Rules for Radically Transparent Bloggers”:
- Your blog voice represents your brand
- Be first to break the news
- It’s better to give than receive
- Engage your readers
- It’s all or nothing
As you apply this information to your own process of becoming radically transparent, I want to encouarage you to share about your own experiences.
