A quick word of caution about this drink: this drink involves FIRE. The kind of fire that will BURN you. [Is there any other kind?]
My suggestion to you is to try this recipe at your own risk and have a fire extinguisher around just to be on the safe side.
Good luck.
Rafaga
Ingredients:
- 1/2 oz Dos Lunas Reposado Tequila
- 1/2 oz Green Mint-Flavored Liqueur
- 1/2 oz Italian Anise-Flavored Liqueur
Directions:
These directions are reproduced here exactly as they were emailed to me by Dos Lunas since I don’t want to go monkeying around with something that could really hurt you.
The traditional Mexican way to serve this drink is to pour the ingredients into a snifter, in any order. Rub the palm of your hand with ice, bartender lights the drink on fire, place the iced hand over the mouth of the glass to seal and snuff out the flame. The alcohol will burn off quickly, leaving the contents of the glass slightly warm. The glass should suction onto your hand, allowing you to shake up the drink.
Follow the instructions and be careful. You don’t want to end up like these guys:
