Rage Virus
Teams are out and about stirring up buzz for the follow up to Danny Boyle’s 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, although this has a different cast and director. As well as the usual TV, print and posters, they are also using some outdoor postings and projections, such as putting the logo against the House of Commons and Dover Cliffs. These logos point you to the official site at ragemovie.co.uk. Unfortunately this choice of URL has not made it around all the agencies involved. Those spraying logos on the street obviously thought the TLD had no impact, so have been using ragevirus.com. Which takes you to a completely different site, where at least you get a link to the official site, even it it is surrounded by ads. Here’s a screenshot just in case they make him a good offer!
So remember – lock up the domains, especially if you are going to use them in promotion!. (tip from Mindcandy). You can also check out the MySpace page for the film, although not much there at all, it just seems to be obligatory these days – back to the lock up your usernames on the main sites or someone else will.
