I’m going to start a new series called “Rate the Competitor Logos” where I’ll select two companies competing in the same market and ask Brandcurve readers to vote on their favorite logo. Of course, you’re encouraged to also leave a comment explaining why you voted as you did.
Here’s round 1 of Rate the Competitor Logos
Which logo do you prefer – Coke or Pepsi?

I’m *torn* on this one! I’m biased because I hate the taste of Pepsi, but here’s why I’m torn:
[COKE] this logo is nostalgic and can be polished and adjusted but remains so much the same. It reminds me of childhood and I can identify it from a mile away.
[PEPSI] is more modern and they continue to make minor adjustments to bring their logo current.
That said, I think the Coke logo is better- it’s nostalgic and can be manipulated in so many ways but continues to invoke personal feelings in me.
I just had to delete a comment here on Brandcurve for the first time in the year that I’ve been writing here. I’m going to post an official comment policy on Brandcurve shortly, but in the interim I’ll remind Brandcurve visitors that all opinions are welcome but please keep the tone professional. I don’t like having to delete comments, but I will delete those that are written in an unprofessional tone or attack individual people directly.
Pepsi is better <3
