James, lay off Stewart already, dude. It wasn't even his fault last week, and I thought he did an excellent job of keeping his cool after Bristol.

Don, Harvick's decision to take tires could have just as easily become the blunder of the race. Fortunately for him, though, everyone behind him followed him down pit road. It was actually a very bad situation for Stewart either way, though. Had he pitted for four fresh ones, then more than likely about 6 or 7 cars AT LEAST would have stayed out on the track, making it nearly impossible for him to climb back to the front with only a few laps left.

As for Craven, not really sure where his name's coming from in this thread, but he's raced for about five different teams in the Cup Series, and hasn't raced there since the latter parts of '04 when he lost his ride to Bobby Hamilton Jr. After that he went to the truck series driving the #99 for Jack Roush, but hasn't appeared there since 2005. I'm honestly not sure where he is now.

Larry, I actually don't recall Harvick saying anything about "ignorant questions." He was mostly referring to the spotters up there putting words in the drivers' mouths, and how he & Tony didn't need idiotic spotters stirring the pot.

Stewart, however, was asked if he was disappointed with his finish, to which he responded something along the lines of "I think that's an obvious answer."

For whatever reason, there just didn't seem to be the typical Bristol excitement circulating. The race for me didn't get real good until the end. That race should have been won by Harvick, only because he made an awesome move by taking tires. It's unfortunate he got into Stewart though. Had Stewart taken tires, it would have been his to loose. Regardless, congrats to Burton for on his voctory, but he definitley should hide that trophy behind the rest of them. He was given that win.

What ever happened to Ricky Craven? He drove the Tide car throughout the early 90's. I'm surprised he wasn't ever given another Cup seat. He's probably in the truck series somewhere.

Interesting perspective. I actually think Smoke did a good job of not blowing his top in the post-race interview. Props to Harvick for taking responsiblity.
Damn good race!
