Many experts believe that the current recession is beginning to slow down. Others believe that the recession is a thing of the past. In a sign that may agree, AT&T recently announced that they have job openings in the state of Connecticut.
The jobs are needed after AT&T invested in the state’s 3G mobile infrastructure and Advanced TV. If you are interested in an AT&T job, the company is hosting job fairs in the cities of Norwalk and New Haven next week.
Ramona Carlow of AT&T stressed that these aren’t low level jobs.
Said Carlow: “AT&T has career opportunities available for individuals who have equal passion for both customer service and new technologies. AT&T’s investment, particularly in our growing wireless business and advanced television segments is contributing to Connecticut’s economy during these difficult economic times. These are good jobs with wages and benefits that are among the best in the nation.”
The Connecticut Business & Industry Association’s CEO, John R. Rathgeber, explained why innovation is important.
Said Rathgeber: “Despite the ailing economy, these events show that jobs follow those goods and services that are innovative and in high demand.”
