Record Industry Gives OK To Listen To Your CDs On Your iPod

Techdirt reports that the Record Industry gives the nod to rip your CDs to your iPod/Portable Music Device.
See this is the main reason why a lot of people dislike the Record Industry. I mean c’mon, it’s as if they’re doing us a favor by allowing us to listen to legally purchased CDs on our iPod.

I’m all for supporting artists and paying them their dues. However, most of what I read about the Recording industry only benefits the big companies that they themselves manipulate the artists. They get more money out of this than the artist does.

When you buy CD or any music for that matter, you should be given an option to listen to it regardless of device you use it on. I mean, you’re paying for the music and not the delivery system. Why should I have to pay everytime I change device formats. I just don’t get that.
