The Red Bull brand is associated with several sporting events. Red Bull sponsors not just car racing and motorcross events, but also one of the coolest sporting events – the Red Bull Air Race World Series where stunt pilots face the ultimate precision flying challenge through a high speed slalom course just above the water. The San Diego Red Bull Air Race is one of the last in a 10-race season, and the buzz around the event has grown significantly.
This year, the Red Bull Air Race in San Diego kicked off the city’s annual Fleet Week, which honors the U.S. military. The timing is perfect to bump up the awareness of the event. The Red Bull Air Races are being televised every Sunday on Fox Sports Network (FSN), so Red Bull stands to gain a lot of promotional exposure from the events.
It’s not surprising that a brand like Red Bull would align itself with fast, aggressive and often extreme sports. Events like the Red Bull Air Races are consistent with the brand’s image.
