Refilling Ink Cartridges

Years and years ago I had a word processing job with an engineering group. It wasn’t all bad. I actually worked with two of the engineers to write one of the first books on AutoCad – we even made a computer books best seller list.

A secretary and I tried refilling cartridges for an ink jet printer… the result was stained fingers and truly poor printing. Thinking that enough time had passed for the mechanics of refilling ink cartridges to have changed for the better, I ordered a set.

What a mess! Ink on my counter, ink on my fingers, bits and pieces everywhere and poor printing! Oh the instructions are moderately more understandable and after lots of fiddling my black print is ok now. Color is still iffy… sometimes right, sometimes all wrong. Sigh. I’m not trying that again… it took probably 45 minutes before I got it all sorted out, maybe even a full hour.

I do order my ink online; I’ve tried a couple of company’s and they both delivered promptly and the ink, both color and black, was fine. Each also included a postage-paid envelope to send back the empty cartridges for recycling. Much simpler.

Write well and often.
