Remember Kimo Leopoldo

Remember the old days of the first UFC’s. The fighters would sometimes come to the ring and it seemed like more of a Wrasslin’ show because people like Kimo Leopoldo would come it carrying a cross on his back and had Jesus tattoo’d across his stomach. Man I’m glad they don’t make entrances like that anymore.

Ole’ Kimo got in trouble for steroid use awhile back and now he’s in trouble for something with a little more kick and a lot more health risk. Kimo was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance. MMA Junkie reports that Kimo was first approached by police because he was wearing a Long Beach Police Dept. police jumpsuit with a badge that only, well, only cops are allowed to wear. Upon searching his car they found some powder that they believe to be meth-amphetamines.

Of course he’s innocent until proven guilty so he’ll have his day in court. The irony of all of this is that he failed tests for steroids recently and…AND applied for a job as the California State Athletic Commission Executive Officer. He stated that he’s be the best candidate because of his mistakes. Yeah…ok, dude. Here is an excerpt from an MMA instructional video he made awhile back.
