Remote Control B29 Bomber and X1 Rocket
I love toys and wish this toy combination was one of my own. Here is some great footage of an RC B-29 Bomber. But this is no ordinary R/C aircraft. Strapped to the belly is an X-1 Rocket which makes an incredible in-flight launch. The B29 also comes equipped with “pilots” who make an emergency ejection and lots of cool acrobatics.

Does anyone know the specs on this plane?
I am the webmaster for Hodges Hobbies and Mac Hodges is the pilot/owner of the shop and B29. It is roughly 21 foot wingspan and weighs in at 98 to 100 lbs. to find out more visit http://www.hodgeshobbies.com
How long did it take for him to build it
What engines did you used in this amazing B29
Terrific!!! I would love to see a 1/6-1/4 scale Martin Mars (JRM-1) flying boat, outfitted as the only surviving 2 left in the world… water bombers for fighting forest fires in British Columbia. See article Air & Space Smithsonian magazine issue Oct/Nov 1993 entitled “Dan McIvor’s Mars Mission” by Ken Gouldthorpe with awesome photos by Phil Schofield. I am in the process of building a much smaller version @ 1/12 scale. (R/C elec. powered) I’m willing to bet that Mac Hodges could build a fascinating model of this aircraft… especially where it’s powered by 4 Curtiss Wright radials as was the B-29.
What plans were used? Are they available?
This video is great and this is a wonderful aircraft. He did a fantastic job with this planed and x-1 and flies it wonderfully. Enjoyed this show very much and liked the plane tremendously.
thats it, dude
