Resident Evil 5 Comes For You On Friday March 13

If you’d prefer to join the ranks of the undead, be aware that Resident Evil 5 will be released on March 13, 2009.
It’s a suitable date for some reason, but I can’t imagine why.
The release info in the Electronic Theatre link promises all kinds of scary delights, including “true” high-definition gaming courtesy of the MT Framework engine, which powered Devil May Cry 4 and Dead Rising. Other sexiness includes two-player co-op and enough weapons to stabilise the Middle East ten times over.
Resident Evil 5’s release will also resurrect its old race controversy like Lazarus, but Capcom’s probably not going to brag about that.

I’ve heard a lot of people complain that it looks like a glossed up Resident Evil 4.
Which strikes me as a very odd thing to be complaining about. MORE RE4?! O NOES. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT 4 BROUGHT NOTHING WORTHWHILE TO THE SERIES.
I’m waiting in line for this one. That’s certain.
