Earlier, we talked about retiring in Costa Rica and retiring in Panama. Today, we’ll look at the retiring in Belize. Located between Mexico and Guatemala, Belize has begun to try to attract those people retiring from the United States and Canada.
Why retire here? Here are four reasons to retire in Belize:
1. Limited Fees and Taxes
If you can prove your income, Belize will bend over backwards to help you retire in their country. You won’t have to pay any fees during your move and your tax burden will be very limited once you move.
2. English
Belize used to be a British colony. For that reason, the official language in the country is English. Compared to Costa Rica and Panama, that is very handy.
3. Close Proximity
From Belize, you are a short trip away from just about every country in the region. You can drive to Mexico or hop on a plane and be in any place in the Americas or the Caribbean in a matter of hours.
4. Peace and Quiet
In Central America, Belize has the lowest population density. In total, Belize has less than 400,000 people. For that reason, you can expect a ton of peace and quiet.

yeah Belize is shore going to be the retirement haven. For example I heard about a new development being planned just 12 miles frome Belize City on the Western Highway and just 40 minutes from the capital Belmopan.I haven,t found a website for it yet but I am at present trying to get more info.As soon as I have more information I will post it.
