Retro USB Controllers…

If, like me, your hands aren’t happy with anything other than a Genesis pad to control your games you might be interested to learn of RetroZone.

These guys sell all manner of retro games controllers with USB connectors inside of the regular ports, so you can hook them up to your PC. Perfect for playing some (legally acquired) ROMs!

I often take time out to play some Sonic on my PC, which is ok because I’ve got three copies of each of the first four games, so I’m pretty sure I’m allowed a backup of the backup of the backup of the original, but playing with the keyboard can really hurt your hands after a while… A Genesis USB pad would be ideal.

They also sell the necessary bits to convert your pads yourself, so if you want you could add a NES pad port on the front of your PC so you can hook up a regular pad! They even sell the NES Advantage, NES Fourscore, Colecovision controllers and loads more stuff!

They’re a little pricey (the NES pad is 30 bones), but they could well be worth it if you play a lot of emulated games.

Take a look at RetroZone!

The website says the controllers may have “cracks” and that they don’t accept returns based on condition of the item. I asked them to show me a picture of the controller I would be buying and they refused. Shady in my opinion.
