RIP Photobucket Video Innovation

Remember when Photobucket kept churning out video features to catch up to YouTube — conversion, hosting, embeds, editing?

Well, those days are over. The dumbest bastion of closed corporatism on the Internet, MySpace, is buying Photobucket. It’s a sad story, really: MySpace blocked Photobucket videos to lower the purchase price.

Kickthebucket is about to degenerate from online video competitor to (gasp!) a Fox property.
