Roddick’s Press Conference Antics
He’s the comic relief of the professional tennis world. While some point fingers and say he’s too much like a frat boy, Andy Roddick is at the very least someone with a personality and I’ll take that any day over some stodgy player.
Roddick’s latest escapades came in a press conference when a woman – someone who was apparently not supposed to be there – asked him about his love life. That in itself is a rather inappropriate question. It has no place in a press conference following a competition. But the way she asked it and continued to persist left the questioner groundless.
Instead of being a cold, heartless bastard, Roddick chose to just go with it. The result is a hilarious press conference clip where Roddick’s sarcasm and wit shine through. Some are going to say he shouldn’t have said what he did: I say he’s dealing with stupid people in a creative way and I’m always for that line of action.
