Roethlisberger Charged

Steeler Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who demonstrated why kids everywhere should look up to him, was charged today for the motorcycle wreck he was in last week. The charges? Driving a motor vehicle outside of his license class and not wearing a helmet.

In a convoluted lawyer-dreamt turn of events, Pennsylvania does not require a helmet to ride a motorcycle but does provide for a helmet citation when a driver does not have a motorcycle license. As it turns out, Roethlisberger does not have a motorcycle license and he was driving without a helmet, thus the helmet violation.

So, kids, it’s okay to ride a motorcycle without a helmet. Just make sure you’re licensed to do so. :\
