During a Houston Astros minicamp on Wednesday morning, Roger Clemens showed up to instruct and talk to the minor leaguers in attendance. The minicamp is a precursor to the team’s spring training, which will begin February 14th in Florida.

Clemens, who has won the Cy Young Award seven times, spoke to the minor leaguers about what it takes to succeed on the big league level.

Said Clemens: “My biggest talk to them is, ‘If you can handle failing, you’re going to be all right, because you’re going to do a lot of it.’ You have to pick yourself up off the ground and go forward.”

One of the minor leaguers in attendance was Clemens’ son Koby, who is a young prospect for the Astros.
