Romo Fails in Open Bid…Again

Tony Romo, the star quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, wants to play in the US Open in the worst way. Unfortunately, he failed to qualify to move on to the second round of qualifying matches this week. This is the fourth year that Romo has attempted to make the field for the Open.

Romo shot par on the front nine at Dallas National Golf Club on Monday. He fell apart, however on the back nine, carding five bogeys and a triple bogey to finish the day with an 80, well out of contention for the qualifier.
Romo is a avid amateur golfer. He has also tried to qualify for the Byron Nelson Championship, without success, for the last four years.
