Ron Paul’s Endorsement Goes To…

September 10, 2008 by thursday

Ron Paul told supporters at the National Press Club in Washington this morning that he will not be supporting either Sen. John McCain or Sen. Barack Obama.

Instead, Paul is endorsing the four leading independent candidates:

  • Cynthia McKinney (Green Party)
  • Bob Barr (Libertarian Party)
  • Ralph Nader (independent)
  • Chuck Baldwin (Constitution Party)

Paul said that he is supporting third-party candidates because the two major parties — and the media — have avoided discussing real political issues. The announcement comes after a call that Paul said he had received from the McCain campaign yesterday, asking for his endorsement.

According to Paul, there’s really no difference between McCain and Obama and the American people shouldn’t have to choose the lesser of two evils. “We just don’t need to do that anymore.”

Is he kidding? No difference? With the addition of Palin we’re seeing a lot of gov’t intrusion into education, the bedroom, etc., etc. The only thing she’s “libertarian” about is guns. Please tell me we care more about keeping out of senseless foreign wars than we do about a false fear of hunters being oppressed.

Ron Paul wants no government control – whether it is over the person, the wallet or the gun cabinet.
