Ronaldino Hoping to Compete in Beijing

Ronaldinho, who has been recovering from a thigh injury, is hoping to play some role in Brazil’s bid for a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. He’s been out for most of the end of last season but he’s been training and trying to get in shape for the world’s largest sports competition. “I’m sure I’ll be in Beijing,” he told Brazilian TV station SporTV. “If God wills it then I will be back in the national team. I’m recovering from my injury and I want to be back as soon as possible. It’s very difficult being out (of the team).”
I think Ronaldinho, who was named the FIFA world player of the year in 2005 and 2006, is an exciting player so I hope he is able to make it to the Games.
