Bob Rosburg, the winner of the 1959 PGA Championship and an ABC Sports golf commentator for more than 30 years, died Thursday at his home in Palm Springs, California. He was 82.

Rosburg had six wins on the PGA Tour, including the PGA Championship win. He also finished second in the US Open in 1959. Rosburg joined ABC in 1974 and became the first sports commentator to report from the course. Today, virtually all golf broadcasts use on-the-course reporters.
Rosburg grew up in San Francisco and attended Stanford University. He joined the PGA Tour in 1953.
